Valentine’s Day Contest Winners!

To begin with, SeamlessWeb would like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who entered the Valentine’s Day contest! You all submitted wonderful entries and it was a pleasure to read them all week long. We loved hearing so many romantic stories and seeing how much our users care about their significant others (and food). But faced with the difficult decision of narrowing this group down to just seven winners, hard choices had to be made and we’re proud to share a couple of our favorite winners with you right here:

Bacon Cheeseburger

  • $75 would fund a day full of culinary feats,
as we’d eat our way through New York City’s streets.

We’d start in the Lower East Side at Essex, where we’d enjoy the prix fixe brunch,
eating matzo brie while drinking unlimited blood marys before moving onto lunch.

At Grimaldi’s in DUMBO, we’d wait in line to split a small cheese pie,
then walk across the Brooklyn Bridge to burn off the calories and enjoy some city sky.

On this budget, we couldn’t afford dinner at Luger’s,
so we’d head to Big Nick’s to enjoy some cheese fries and burgers.

To top off the night, we’d pick up some Ben and Jerry’s Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough
and then relax on the couch with a two glasses of Merlot.

Friend House 2 - Shrimp Pad Thai

  • NYC Geeky Seamless Valentine:

Valentine’s day falls on a Saturday; the perfect time to indulge my boyfriend with a geek Smörgåsbord. I’d order in Belgian waffles and a bouquet of bacon for the supreme breakfast-in-pajamas-while-watching-cartoons morning. After taking him to his favorite comic stores, I’d use SeamlessWeb to pick up food for a post-reading picnic in Tompkins Square. Finally, I’d combine dinner and dessert at home with his favorite movie (Star Wars) to ultimately win the Best Girlfriend Ever award. Achievement unlocked!

Waffles, fresh orange juice, and extra bacon (to be tied in bouquet-fashion) ordered from Bully’s: $28.70 with tip
Gyro sandwiches for two, picked up from Kebab Garden: $14.51 with tip
Pad Thai and passion fruit sorbet for two ordered from Friend House: $31.18 with tip
    Total: $74.39 including tip(s)

Cartoons, Comic-Browsing, and Borrowed Star Wars DVDs: FREE

After reading these entries, we hope that you’ve been inspired to have your own adventure this weekend.

Happy Valentine’s Day!
