The Order:
Sixty degrees + Lunchtime = SeamlessWeb Pick Up order. And since it was so nice out, AnnMarie and I decided to walk somewhere a little bit farther than usual, ‘wichcraft. Now, despite the fact that she doesn’t like beets (who does?) and the place specializes in sandwiches, AnnMarie ordered the Roasted Beet Salad. She said it was for health reasons, I said she was scared of liking one of the sandwiches too much.
In the interest of full disclosure, I am a non-practicing Jew, so since it’s Passover, I decided that I should eat all the pork and bread that my fellow Jews were avoiding. (Note: For all the Christians out there, I’m happy to do the same for you during Lent depending on what you give up.) Thus, I opted for the Slow-Roasted Pork Sandwich. Something about roasting it slow just made it sound that much more enticing.
The Meal:
A lovely stroll up and down Park Avenue later, the food was ours:

My sandwich was delicious. The ciabatta was soft, the mustard kept it moist, and the jalapenos gave each bite an extra kick. I wouldn’t have minded if it were a little bigger (a common ‘wichcraft complaint), but on the whole, I’d highly recommend it. Meanwhile, I was curious to see how AnnMarie was liking her beets.

Turns out that the answer was, “Not so much.” The salad was a big winner, but the beets were mostly left untouched. Maybe next time she should fill out the special instructions box? We recommend that you order from ‘wichcraft for a high quality meal with high quality ingredients. Just make sure you can handle slightly smaller portions.
FYI – We’re located near Bryant Park in case you want to try ‘wichcraft for yourself or give us recommendations for future orders!
