Go Green with SeamlessWeb!

Eco-Friendly

Everyone knows that take out food usually comes with too much packaging, be it in the form of utensils, napkins, or condiments. At SeamlessWeb, we’re doing something to address the problem.

Starting today, you’ll have the option to explicitly opt-out of the extra packaging. All you need to do is click a button (see right) to tell the restaurant that you don’t need the extra utensils, napkins, and packages of sweet and sour sauce.

What’s great here is that everybody wins…restaurants save money and increase profits, you save the effort of dealing with needless extra packaging, and we all work together to help the planet!

So remember, the next time you’re ordering on SeamlessWeb, just click the button marked “Do not include plastic utensils, napkins” and the restaurant should take care of the rest, delivering your order with the minimum packaging necessary to make sure that your food still tastes great.

Happy eco-friendly eating everyone!

It’s been a hectic weekend so I’ve used SW for dinner every night this weekend. Each time I’ve asked the restaurant not to include utensils, etc. However, every single time my meal has come with too many utensils napkins and condiments. What’s the point of the option if the restaurants don’t do it?

    Hey Betty,

Thanks very much for the comment. Glad to help you out with the hectic weekend, but sorry to hear that the restaurants have been giving you too many utensils. Every restaurant should be able to make your order eco-friendly, so please email us at myseamlessweb@seamlessweb.com and we will follow up with the restaurants that you have had problems with.

    Best,

    Rich

What if I need napkins, but not the other stuff? Please make choices more "granular," in other words, allow checking off exactly what I need.
