Every Thursday, a different SeamlessWeb customer tells us about how he or she orders from the site. This week, we’ve got Maureen, a med student who knows that SeamlessWeb is ALWAYS “just what the doctor ordered”:

Name: Maureen
Age: 26
Occupation: Medical Student, Hip-Hop Impresario
How and When Did You Discover SeamlessWeb? SeamlessWeb discovered me in a fur company casting call back around 1954. I was modeling professionally in Manhattan at the time, having just come home to the States after a grand tour of Italy, and SeamlessWeb, who was then on staff at the fur company as a junior copywriter, sent me the loveliest mink coat after the shoot. We were married within the year.
Where Do You Use SW? It is all very careless and confused. We are careless people, SeamlessWeb and me—we smash up things and creatures and then retreat back into our money or our vast carelessness, or whatever it is that keeps us together, and let other people clean up the mess we have made.
Favorite Kind of Food: Mint chocolate chip ice cream (the chocolate is from Kells’ eponymous Factory).
Least Favorite Kind of Food: Not sure. Maybe American cheese? My least favorite food policy is the kind that keeps supermarket owners and employees out of “food deserts” in many parts of this city. Please support UFCW Local 1500 in its efforts to add good food and good job standards to New York City’s Food Retail Expansion to Support Health (FRESH).
Favorite Place(s) to Order From on SW? Ethos in Murray Hill. I love a restaurant chain that wears its spirit and values system in its name. I also like free pita bread and pastry. (Ed: We love Ethos too!)
Least Favorite Thing About Calling Restaurants? They only ever call me back when they need a favor.
Closest Previous Brush with Internet Fame? Arianna Huffington invited me to be one of her first Facebook friends. (Ed: How long did she wait before inviting you to contribute on HuffPo?)
Favorite Celebrity Chef? Did you know that Jack Kerouac died of a brain hemorrhage while he was watching The Galloping Gourmet? Coolio. (Ed: The Kerouac story may be apocryphal!)
Favorite Cartoon Growing Up? Tony Kornheiser
What Superpower Do You Wish You Had? Heavy lifting
In the Past Year, What’s the Latest You’ve Stayed Up and Why? I stayed up for about 40 hours over one weekend in May (concert here, brother’s college graduation in the Midwest). America is a pageant, people! Don’t miss out!
Plans for Tonight? Supercalifragilistic-ketoacidosis. I should probably study. (Ed: Re: ketoacidosis, if you don’t know, now you know.)
