Football + Food = SeamlessWeb Sunday

Bourbon Street vs. The Brickyard. Black and Gold vs. Blue and White. Phone vs. Internet. This year’s Big Game in Miami only has one clear favorite.

It’s the busiest food ordering day of the year, so what’s the easiest way to make sure that you get exactly what you want on time and don’t miss a minute of the game (or the commercials)? Order your food online with SeamlessWeb.

As always, we’ll be offering 10% off any order over $50*, but this year, we’re also making one party extra special by giving away $200 in free food!

SeamlessWeb Sunday: Win $200 in free food!

So how can you win those wings…or pizza or sandwiches or perhaps, caviar? Easy:

  • Tell us EITHER your most memorable Big Game party experience OR your best Big Game party tradition**

Submit your answers via email or leave a comment and our panel of judges will consider your creativity and hilarity. Then, one deserving winner will get $200 to make his or her party THE one to attend. The only thing we ask in return? Take pictures and tell us about it, so we can post them on the blog.

You have until midnight on February 4. Any questions?

*Code is SEAMLESSSUNDAY. It is valid for 2/7/2010 on personal SeamlessWeb orders of $50 or more only.
**See here for Terms and Conditions.

Even though I’m not a football fan – the best memories I have is people in the gym shouting at the televisions in between sets – just creates a maddening atmosphere.

I’d still like the free food though – for $200 in food heck even I’d watch football (I’m a soccer guy usually)

When the Giants won the Super Bowl against the Patriots. It was such a surreal moment between me, my patrons and Giants fans everywhere; As the game went on and you felt the anticipation building of the improbable upset and when it finally happened, pure pandemonium! Everyone spilling out onto 3rd Avenue and literally shutting down traffic! It was like a spontaneous ticker-tape parade! Check my blog- pics to prove it! A memorable night!

Recently our gathering of friends for the super bowl has gotten bigger and bigger while the size of the apartments hosting the party has gotten smaller and smaller. True, we could hold the party at a larger apartment but then the TV would be smaller and, well, we can’t have that. The Patriots/Giants super bowl was hosted by a pair of roommates, one of whom was a Pats fan and one was a Giants fan (being a Jets fan, this was a difficult situation for me but that is another story altogether). Guests brought extra chairs and various dips and spreads while fried goodies were ordered to feed the masses (it is a little difficult to cook for hordes of people in kitchen designed for one).

I don’t remember much of the first half but, as the game got more exciting, everyone in the apartment was cheering like crazy. We could even hear the neighbors cheering too… about two minutes after us. They must have been watching the game on DVR and fell behind at some point. After the Tyree catch our apartment went nuts and the Giant fan proceeded to pound on the door to make sure his neighbors knew something great happened. That’s when we got the bright idea have a little fun with the neighbors. After we heard their cheering die down, everyone in our apartment yelled “NOOOOO!” at the wall. Apparently the cacophony of cursing and screams had the neighbors nervous about the outcome. After their worries subsided, they appreciated the joke.
