SeamlessWebber of the Week: Dan

Every Thursday, a different SeamlessWeb customer tells us about how he or she orders from the site. We had a little bit of a hiatus, but we’re back strong in 2010 with Dan, a teacher and longtime SeamlessWebber who isn’t ashamed to admit that he had (has?) a crush on a cartoon character:

Dan

Name: Dan

Age: 29

Occupation: Teacher

How and When Did You Discover SeamlessWeb? It was a cold winter evening in the year 2005. I was surrounded by a pile of horribly written papers and totally starving.

Where Do You Use SW? I will use SW anytime, any place, and with anyone…I have no shame.

Favorite Kind of Food: Italian, Thai, Indian, and good old-fashioned bar-b-que (not that fake wannabe stuff)

Least Favorite Kind of Food: Clams and any fish that still has eyes when it arrives on my plate. I cannot take having my food look back at me.

Favorite Place(s) to Order From on SW? Big Nick’s. At my old school, I used to order from there all the time and I always wondered if Nick was really big. (Ed: Better question…is there even a Nick at all?! UPDATE: Thanks to Tanya in the comments we now know that there IS a Big Nick!)

Least Favorite Thing About Calling Restaurants? Ummmm…let me see…perhaps having to repeat my order, address, and credit card number 19 times for them to still get it wrong.  I mean how do you confuse 3 with 6.  Do they really sound that similar?

Closest Previous Brush with Internet Fame? I once was in an article about NYC teachers in Esquire magazine. The photo ended up online. Other than that, I think I am the number one friend on my wife’s Facebook page. In case you didn’t know, that means someone thinks I am cool. (Ed: I was also once in Esquire magazine! No photos though…)

Favorite Celebrity Chef? Gordon Ramsay, no contest.  I would like to meet him but I feel like he would just curse me out…

Favorite Cartoon Growing Up? Voltron with Thundercats being a close second.  I don’t know why but I had a huge crush on Princess Allura (commander of the blue lion for those who aren’t down).  I still have the collectors edition action figure. (Ed: Does your wife know about this?)

What Superpower Do You Wish You Had? I would love to be able to teleport. Just think how much I would save on travel expenses not to mention the fact that I would not have to deal with walking around in bad weather.

In the Past Year, What’s the Latest You’ve Stayed Up and Why? I feel like such an old man but I am have to say that I have not stayed up past 3 a.m.

Plans for Tonight? I think I am going to try sneezing while keeping my eyes open. (Ed: But that’s impossible!)

E-mail us at myseamlessweb@seamlessweb.com if you’d like to be the next Webber of the Week or if you’d like to suggest a friend!
