Twitter Trivia: Mystery History Recap

Each week on Twitter, @SeamlessWeb (that’s us) runs a trivia contest where the first person to answer each question correctly earns a $10 SeamlessWeb discount code. We usually have 4 or 5 questions spread throughout the day, all related to a weekly theme, so there are plenty of chances to win. Here’s a recap of this week’s questions…and answers.

Twitter Trivia

This week’s theme: MYSTERY HISTORY

  • What was the 1st U.S. public university to admit students and award degrees in the 18th century AND in what year did it open to students? Winning answer from @dsschatz
  • Name the year the Rosetta Stone was created, the year it was found, and which Egyptian ruler issued its decree. Quick response from @trunks1022
  • In what year did the famous Burr-Hamilton duel take place AND which ad campaign famously referenced the duel in the 1990s? $10 goes to @joshmorrissey
  • In what year did Noah Webster publish his first dictionary AND what was it called? Correctamundo, @MNightShannalan

The theme this week was a mystery, and it’s even harder to figure out now, but here is hint #1 and here is hint #2. Still stumped? @nipterink figured it out!

Follow @SeamlessWeb for your chance to win $10 in next week’s Twitter Trivia.
