Celebrate the Olympics with SeamlessWeb

Can’t be in Vancouver to watch the Olympics first hand? Feel like TV can’t capture the true speed of curling? Wish you were hanging out in the Olympic Village with Apolo Anton Ohno and Lindsey Vonn (do you think they get along)? Well, we’d like to be there too. So we’ve decided to the next best thing…provide you with an Olympic-worthy menu honoring world cuisines!

To celebrate the Olympics SeamlessWeb-style, we’re encouraging everyone to do a day’s worth of meals honoring the top three medal winners thus far: the United States, Germany, and Norway. Here’s a sample menu to get you started:

Breakfast (Gold Medal): Start the “most important meal of the day” off right with a hearty American breakfast from Moonstruck Diner.  Nothing says mornin’ like the ability to add bacon to any order.  You could probably burn off this meal with a few runs down the moguls that might be on Third Avenue after today’s snowstorm.

Lunch (Silver Medal): Eins, zwei, drei, it’s time for mittagessen! For your midday meal order a traditional German feast from Hallo Berlin Express.  The best is the Wurst here, whether Brat, Knock, or Berliner Curry is your fancy. And don’t forget to start with Speatzel for the full German experience.  Auf Wiedersehen Deutschland!

Dinner (Bronze Medal): Ønskevelkommen til Scandinavia! To cap off your day of heroic eating, travel to Europe’s far north with a lovely supper from Smorgas Chef.  This Scandinavian restaurant offers traditional dishes with tons of flavor, so to honor the wondrous winter athletes from Norway, eat a starter of House-Cured Gravlax and follow that fish up with more fish, the traditional Baked Herb-Crusted North Sea Cod. Farvel og god natt!

Thanks to Jessie for her Olympic spirit in making this post a medal contender.

You don’t wanna hang out with me? I’ve got the most medals of any US Alpine Skier of all time!
